A few years ago I was at a swap meet and stumbled upon a group of people tearing through a photo album. I realized it was a black American’s personal WW2 experience, and quickly bought what I could save from being torn apart. The stories in there are like I have never seen. Though crude in terms of the day, they speak of honor and hope for even the colored man fighting with his brothers to live in a nation to raise a family. Unfornetly I can’t find anything about them on my own. I’ve contacted the CAA museum in Feb., but they don’t answer. If anyone on PBS can tell me more about these men, or get their memory to a place that they deserve to be in, please let me know. I have 19 pages of these, and am happy to show/give them if it helps.
