TRANSCRIPT

I'm always hungry - that's why I cook.

James Beard, Julia Child, Jacques P pin and Alice Waters: the culinary Mount Rushmore of America. Somehow now we are genius; I don't know what happened. I think food, when it's presented in the right way, it's all the entertainment that you need. It should inspire you to go into the kitchen. [tv audio: i'm julia child] I think cooking shows have become popular because the story of how someone became a great master of cuisine is more interesting than what someone can do in five seconds with limited ingredients.

The whole idea is not only of cooking, but certainly of sharing the food with the family. I mean this is a very, very important part of the human condition.
