Sonia Manzano is an actress, screenwriter, author and speaker. Best known for playing Maria on "Sesame Street," Manzano has garnered 16 Emmys, including a Lifetime Achievement Award. She was recently awarded PBS's Beacon Award and is the creator of PBS's animated series "Alma's Way." Her latest book is "Coming Up Cuban."
