Renowned architect I.M. Pei passed away on May 16, 2019 at age 102. Pei was the subject of an American Masters documentary in 2010, I.M. Pei: Building China Modern, which followed Pei as he returned to his ancestral home of Suzhou, China to work on his most personal project to date.
