Bob Simon Interview on His Early Career: An In Memoriam Tribute

Peabody Award-winning journalist Bob Simon (1941 – 2015) was interviewed for American Masters – Don Hewitt: 90 Minutes on 60 Minutes, which premiered in May 1998. Simon’s entire broadcasting career was with the CBS Network. His reporting began with the Vietnam War in the early 1970s and in 1987 he was named CBS News’ chief Middle Eastern correspondent. Simon had been a contributor to 60 Minutes since 1996.
