It’s National Hispanic Heritage Month, and in order to celebrate, we are making one of our favorite American Masters films, Pedro E. Guerrero: A Photographer’s Journey, available for streaming. Watch it in English or Spanish anytime through Oct. 15.
In addition, PBS is turning its lens onto viewers this September and October, through a new social media campaign: #MiHistoria. Access hours of film and television from your favorites like American Masters, Latino Public Broadcasting, POV and Storycorps, or visit the #MiHistoria Social Hub to share your story and read about others’ experiences.
If you’re looking for other ways to get involved, there is a month full of activities sponsored by the Library of Congress, National Archives and Records Administration, National Endowment for the Humanities, National Gallery of Art, National Park Service, Smithsonian Institution and United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, all paying tribute to the generations of Hispanic Americans who have positively influenced and enriched our nation and society. For more information, visit the National Hispanic Heritage Month website.
