Alexander Nacol

Reston, VA, United States

My name is Alexander, I’m in 5th Grade, and this is my submission for Inspiring Woman. My school has a VERY GOOD art teacher named Suzy Scollon. She has taught me to make really good drawings. Suzy knows a lot of art tricks, and she has inspired me to create my most-viewed drawing. We were learning to draw realistic pumpkins that day. I made a pumpkin drawing, and she said that it looked realistic! In my opinion, it did, too. That one lesson inspired me. When I went home a few days later, I made a drawing of a pumpkin patch. I had been inspired! When my aunt saw it, she thought it was so good that she posted it on Snapchat. A few hours later, there were 670 likes. Tomorrow morning, there were 950 likes. People LOVED it. All because of my art teacher Suzy Scollon.
