Domenica Rifenburgh-Lightner

Pittsburgh, PA, United States

My hero is my beautiful daughter, Victoria A. Cain. Victoria became a mother for the first time at age 18 after she had dropped out of high school and received her GED. With a new baby in tow, she went to school to be an ultrasound technician followed by achieving her BS in pre-med. She went on receive her master’s degree as a Physician Assistant working along the side of the Radiologists at UPMC EAST in Monroeville, PA. Her talents include being a wife and mother of 6 children, she has been able to spend time going to Cameroon on two Medical Mission trips providing medical care for men, women, and children who have little or no medical care because of cost and limited resources. She is my hero every day and I am so very proud of her. Thank you for letting me share her story.
