These are not part of an upcoming episode of a new series on the Sci-Fi channel either. But, these technologies might help save 21,000 of the 43,000 deaths annually recorded on America\u2019s highways.<\/p>\n<p>Such cars and road infrastructure were showcased on the streets of New York City in November 2008 for the world\u2019s largest Congress on Intelligent Transport Systems.
