Who was paying attention?  Why were so many signs ignored? 

In announcing the first national strategy to combat domestic terrorism, the Biden administration warned that domestic extremists now pose the most significant threat to the country. For many, however, this urgent warning was too long in coming. There have been clear signs for decades that far-right extremist beliefs were spreading and that right-wing extremist groups were growing more dangerous. What might have been done to stop the rising threat and growing violence?
