SHARE

Tenor Andrea Bocelli and singer Nicole Scherzinger sing a Spanish-language version of “Don’t Cry for Me Argentina,” a song originally written for the musical Evita by the team of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice. The film version based on the musical opened on December 25, 1996. It starred Madonna (Evita Perón), Antonio Banderas (Ché), and Jonathan Pryce (Juan Perón). It was directed by Alan Parker and written by Parker and Oliver Stone.

Nicole Scherzinger began her career as a member of the girl group Pussycat Dolls before going solo. For her recent West End performance in Cats (2014-2015) as Grizabella, she received a nomination for the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role in a Musical.
