Great Performances: A John Williams Premiere at Tanglewood

Streaming November 12 – December 10

Recorded in July from the Boston Symphony Orchestra’s summer home, Great Performances: A John Williams Premiere at Tanglewood is conducted by both BSO music director Andris Nelsons and Williams. The concert features virtuoso violinist Anne-Sophie Mütter performing the debut of Williams’ new concerto, as well as performances of Aaron Copland’s “Quiet City,” Igor Stravinsky’s Suite from “The Firebird” and “Starburst” by Jessie Montgomery, composer-violinist-educator and Chicago Symphony Orchestra’s newest composer-in-residence.

Enjoy this contemporary reboot of the 1870 classical ballet favorite. Blending live action ballet with CGI, the film features ballet stars Michaela DePrince and Daniel Camargo.

Andrea Bocelli: Live in Central Park

Celebrate the 10th anniversary of this spectacular concert and experience the artistry of the world’s most popular tenor. Recorded on a rainy night in September 2011 in one of the world’s most iconic parks, stars Céline Dion, Tony Bennett, Chris Botti and David Foster joined classical performers for a mix of opera and pop as a gift of music to the city of New York.

Unforgettable with Love – Natalie Cole

Enjoy this special encore of Natalie Cole’s Emmy-winning concert of her GRAMMY-winning album in Great Performances: Unforgettable With Love – Natalie Cole. Featuring classics such as “Mona Lisa,” “The Very Thought of You” and “For Sentimental Reasons,” the concert also features a special performance of Nat King Cole’s signature song “Unforgettable” sung as a duet by Natalie Cole and her father.
