Great Performances Kicks Off Summer with New Concerts Beginning June 4 on PBS

This June, Great Performances showcases a new summer season of concerts from rock ’n’ roll legends to leading operatic voices from stages around the world. The lineup features Andrea Bocelli, the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, an all-star tribute to Fleetwood Mac’s Peter Green and Great Performances at the Met concerts from Anna Netrebko, Joyce DiDonato, Aleksandra Kurzak and Roberto Alagna, and Diana Damrau and Joseph Calleja.

Great Performances at the Met: Aleksandra Kurzak & Roberto Alagna in Concert

Premieres beginning Friday, June 4
Premieres Sunday, June 13 at 12 p.m. on THIRTEEN

Performing on location from the south of France, the husband-and-wife duo perform favorite arias and duets including selections from Puccini’s “Madama Butterfly,” Donizetti’s “L’Elisir d’Amore” and more.

Great Performances: Mick Fleetwood & Friends

Premieres beginning Saturday, June 5 and PBS, pbs.org/gperf and the PBS Video app

Premieres Thursday, June 10 at 9:30 p.m. on THIRTEEN

Experience an all-star concert honoring the early years of Fleetwood Mac and founding member Peter Green at the London Palladium featuring artists Neil Finn, Noel Gallagher, Billy Gibbons, David Gilmour, Kirk Hammett, John Mayall, Christine McVie, Jeremy Spencer, Zak Starkey, Pete Townshend, Steven Tyler and Bill Wyman. Legendary producer Glyn Johns is executive sound producer and the house band features Mick Fleetwood himself along with Dave Bronze, Jonny Lang, Andy Fairweather Low, Ricky Peterson and Rick Vito.

Premieres beginning Saturday, June 5 on PBS, pbs.org/gperf and the PBS Video app
Premieres Thursday, June 24 at 8 p.m. on THIRTEEN

Enjoy the songs of the internationally beloved tenor’s 2020 album recorded on location in Malta. Selections performed include “Gratia Plena,” a duet with Cecilia Bartoli, and new interpretations of “Ave Maria” and Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah.”

Great Performances at the Met: Anna Netrebko in Concert

Premieres Friday, June 18 at 9 p.m. on PBS

Experience the opera megastar performing Russian songs by Rachmaninoff, Rimsky-Korsakov and Tchaikovsky as well as selections by Debussy, Dvořák, Fauré and Strauss from Vienna’s Spanish Riding School accompanied by Pavel Nebolsin on piano.

Great Performances: Vienna Philharmonic Summer Night Concert 2020

Premieres Friday, June 25 at 9 p.m. on PBS, pbs.org/gperf and the PBS Video app

Enjoy the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra’s performance of selections by Strauss, Wagner, Offenbach, Puccini and more from the Schönbrunn Palace Gardens under the baton of conductor Valery Gergiev featuring Metropolitan Opera tenor Jonas Kaufmann.

Great Performances at the Met: Joyce DiDonato in Concert

Premieres beginning Friday, July 2 on PBS

Premieres Sunday, July 18 at 12:30 p.m. on THIRTEEN

Experience a new performance by the American mezzo-soprano from the art-nouveau Jahrhunderthalle in Bochum, Germany, featuring Baroque works by Handel as well as songs like “La vie en rose” and Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “You’ll Never Walk Alone.”

Great Performances at the Met: Diana Damrau & Joseph Calleja

Enjoy the soprano-tenor duo performing works by Verdi, Bizet, Rossini and more from the Cappella Palatina of the Royal Palace of Caserta accompanied by Vincenzo Scalera on piano. Soprano Angel Blue hosts.
