In Memoriam: John Hoffee

The Board of Trustees, staff, and volunteers of WNET are saddened by the passing of John Hoffee, Trustee of the LuEsther T. Mertz Charitable Trust. Intelligent, kindhearted and considerate, John was a person of consummate taste and a true champion of arts and culture. An enthusiastic supporter of our PBS series Great Performances and our local Off-Broadway showcase Theater Close-Up, John was a great friend to public media who believed the arts not only belonged to everyone, they should be available to everyone. We extend our deepest sympathy to John’s husband, Larry Condon, and to all the Mertz Trust family.
