This month, Great Performances returns with its fifth annual “Broadway’s Best” lineup, premiering on PBS (check local listings), pbs.org/broadwayonpbs, and the PBS Video app as part of #PBSForTheArts, a multiplatform campaign celebrating the arts in America. The festive Friday night line-up begins on a “de-lovely” note with the celebrated West End revival of Cole Porter’s classic musical Anything Goes (Friday, May 13th, 9 p.m), starring Sutton Foster, reprising her Tony-winning performance as Reno Sweeney.
One of Broadway’s most beloved performers, Foster also scored a Tony Award for her electrifying performance in Thoroughly Modern Millie and is currently wowing audiences as Marian Paroo in the hit Broadway revival of The Music Man starring Hugh Jackman as Harold Hill.
