These Spotify tracks are a source of wonderment and new experiences for me.  Before creating season 3 of Great Performances: Now Hear This, the music of Florence Price, Reena Esmail, and Sergio Assad was less familiar to me.  Now these pieces feel like friends that you’ve just met, that feel like you’ve known them forever.

Some of these performers I first met decades ago: Cecile Licad and the wonderful Neeme Järvi.  Others, like Er-Gene Kahng and Vijay Gupta, I met on location during filming.  They are as engaging as performers as they are as people.  I hope you enjoy these wonderful works!
