James Corden on “One Man, Two Guvnors”

SHARE

James Corden, who plays the confused but sweet Francis Henshall, speaks on how “One Man, Two Guvnors” transformed his career.

TRANSCRIPT

Being in 'One Man, Two Guvnors' is what I consider to be the high point of my career.

- Let me help you with that. - Ugh!

(LAUGHTER) It's just a really well-constructed play.

The original construct by Carlo Goldoni and then it's just so brilliantly and beautifully enhanced by Richard Bean.

You wouldn't dare! Wouldn't I?

(LAUGHTER) I wonder if I'll ever play a better part than that.

(LAUGHTER) I can almost chart my professional life as anything that happened before 'One Man, Two Guvnors' and anything that happened after.

Any of the things that have happened in my life subsequently are only due to my being in that play.

I will always be grateful to it.

It will always be mind-blowing to me that that was something that I was able to do.
