TRANSCRIPT

*Instrumental* When I was writing Ingénue, I was living in Vancouver, British Columbia.

And everyday, I would walk in this beautiful park off of downtown called, Stanley Park It is, it is beautiful.

Searching for the muse, hoping that I might get a little help writing these lyrics.

And everyday, I would pass this huge fallen cedar tree that had been there for some time.

And straddling its carcass were these two verdant, beautiful, young cedar trees feeding off the nutrients of impermanence.

*Instrumental* [SINGING] Keen to the shifting wind, I bend to it blind [SINGING] To rid these kisses of sin that must stay behind [SINGING] Sour the fruit of neglect, the core of my doubt [SINGING] Deprived are my veins you infect, with or without [SINGING] Fate must have a reason, why else endure the season [SINGING] Of hollow soul, the ground on which we leave on [SINGING] How strangely fuels the season of hollow soul, of hollow soul *Instrumental* [SINGING] Seeds of uprooted chance, are grains of goodbye [SINGING] Waving boughs so slowly dance, questioning why [SINGING] Fate must have a reason, why else endure the season [SINGING] Of hollow soul [SINGING] The ground on which we leave on, how strangely fuels the season [SINGING] Of hollow soul [SINGING] Of hollow soul *Instrumental* [SINGING] Fate must have a reason, why else endure the season [SINGING] Of hollow soul [SINGING] La la la la, la la, la la la la, la la la [SINGING] The ground on which we leave on, how strangely fuels the season [SINGING] Of hollow soul *Instrumental* *Cheers*
