In support of the GREAT PERFORMANCES telecast, WNET is distributing 30,000 copies of a The Hollow Crown: Shakespeare’s History Plays poster & teachers’ guide to schools nationwide, which will assist educators in utilizing the PBS broadcast in the classroom. This activity-based analysis of the plays (Richard II, Henry IV Part 1, Henry IV Part 2, and Henry V) is illustrated by various lesson plans and activities. The complete films will be available for viewing online at here on the Great Performances Web site and video.pbs.org for 30 days following each initial PBS broadcast (September 20-October 11).
