Through his imagining of a crucial point in the life of medieval visionary Hildegard von Bingen, playwright and University of Utah professor Tim Slover has posited the notion of a direct, personal experience of the divine against the earthy practicalities of sustaining a religious community. His play Virtue premiered in 2017 with sold out performances and glowing reviews.
