Same-Sex Marriage on Ballot in Four States

On Election Day, four states will vote on same-sex marriage. Maine, Maryland, and Washington State have ballot initiatives to legalize it. In Minnesota, voters will consider a constitutional amendment to ban it. Religious groups have organized on both sides of the issue and spent millions in the process. Many black churches have been opposed to homosexuality and same-sex marriage, so the ballot measures have led to sharp debate there.
