New Report Highlights Discrimination against Atheists

iheu-atheistsAn international organization of nonbelievers is attempting to raise awareness of the persecution they say they face around the world. A new report from the International Humanist and Ethical Union highlighted seven countries in which atheists can be executed for expressing their opinions. Those countries include Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Iran. The report also cited the United States for having a culture it says makes atheists and the nonreligious feel like “lesser Americans or non-Americans.”
