House Honors Girls Killed in Birmingham Church Bombing with Congressional Gold Medal

The House of Representatives voted unanimously to award the Congressional Gold Medal, one of the highest civilian honors, to the four girls killed in the 1963 bombing of Birmingham’s 16th Street Baptist Church.
