Women Win Right to Pray at Jerusalem’s Western Wall

women-western-wallA legal victory this week for women who want to lead prayers at one of Judaism’s holiest sites, the Western Wall in Jerusalem: An Israeli court ruled that police have no grounds to continue arresting women who pray at the wall wearing prayer shawls that many Orthodox Jews believe are reserved for men. The court also refused to grant a restraining order to bar the women from the wall.
