Government Releases Guidelines to Churches, Schools for Gun Safety

biden-gun-guidelines-280x180As part of new gun safety measures from the White House, Vice President Biden this week issued guidelines for how houses of worship should respond to a mass shooting. One of the suggestions is “fight back.” Congregants are advised first to try to escape, then hide and as a last resort, adults are told to use aggressive force to “disrupt or incapacitate the shooter.” Items like fire extinguishers or chairs can be used. Houses of worships are told to decide their own policy on weapons, in accordance with local laws.
