Spiritual Leader of Israel’s Sephardic Jews Dies at 93

There was a massive outpouring of grief in Jerusalem this week. More than half a million Israelis filled the streets to mourn the death of influential former Chief Sephardic Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, who died at the age of 93. Yosef was the spiritual leader of the Ultra-Orthodox Shas political party.
