Prayers of Gratitude among Typhoon Survivors in Philippines

Humanitarian efforts continue in the Philippines three weeks after the deadly typhoon. Some four million people are trying to find suitable housing, and health officials are worried about the spread of several diseases. Amid all the suffering, this week Catholics in the devastated city of Tacloban offered special prayers of gratitude for their survival. They expressed faith that God would take care of them.
