Minority Muslims in Myanmar Call for End to Persecution

Rohingya-HEAD-small In Washington, Muslim activist groups and Burmese American Muslims rallied in front of the Embassy of Myanmar, calling for an end to the persecution of the minority Rohingya Muslim population. They urged US officials to take stronger action to support religious freedom inside the predominantly Buddhist Myanmar. Hundreds of people, mostly Muslims, have been killed in Myanmar’s sectarian violence.
