Religious Leaders Call for Peaceful Resolution to Ukraine Crisis

ukraine-HEAD-smAs US officials responded to the events in Ukraine this week, American religious leaders called for continued prayers for a peaceful resolution to the crisis. The US Catholic bishops urged Catholics to pray that justice and human rights will prevail. Evangelical and mainline Protestant leaders called for prayers for an end to military aggression, and American Jewish groups expressed hopes that further violence can be averted. They also urged protection for Ukraine’s minority Jewish population.
