Syria Enters Fourth Year of Civil War

syria-4-smRallies were held in Washington and around the world to mark the third anniversary of the conflict in Syria. Many prayed for peace and called for more aid. The conflict has generated what the UN calls the “worst humanitarian catastrophe” of modern times. Nearly 150,000 people have been killed, and an estimated nine million Syrians have been displaced by the violence. That’s about 40 percent of the pre-war population.
