Catholic Bishops Say Mass at U.S.-Mexican Border

border-mass-HEAD-smA delegation of U.S. Catholic bishops celebrated Mass at the U.S.-Mexico border this week to draw attention to human suffering caused by current immigration policy. Calling for comprehensive immigration reform, they cited 6,000 migrants who have died in the attempt to enter the U.S. since 1998. Among those distributing Communion was Cardinal Sean O’Malley. He said the trip was inspired by Pope Francis’s concern for migrants.
