Kentucky Pipeline Plan Defeated by Protests of Nuns

nuns-pipeline-HEAD-smAfter strong protests from the Sisters of Loretto in Kentucky, the Williams Company of Tulsa has suspended plans to build the Bluegrass pipeline. The company said it did not have enough committed customers to proceed. The Loretto sisters had rallied support against the pipeline. Sister Marie Vissee said the sisters are pleased to be part of a network of people urging “a closer look at what we are doing to our land and water.”
