New Refugee Camp for Syrians in Jordan

syrian-refugees-HEAD-smJordan has opened a sprawling new refugee camp for tens of thousands of Syrians who keep pouring into the country. The Azraq camp will be able to hold up to 130,000 people. Many faith-based groups are already working there. The new facility was needed because the Za’atari camp which opened in 2012 has vastly exceeded its capacity. Officials estimate that more than a million Syrians have sought refuge in Jordan.
