Members of the US Conference of Catholic Bishops visited Capitol Hill this week to draw attention to the plight of undocumented immigrants. The bishops celebrated a mass for immigrants and their families and prayed for Congress to act swiftly on comprehensive immigration reform. They recounted the stories of families torn apart by deportations and called the current immigration system a moral issue that lawmakers must address.
