Iraq Sectarian Violence Killed More than 1,000 in June

Iraq-refugees-HEAD-smThe humanitarian situation in Iraq continues to deteriorate, with thousands of civilians fleeing spiraling sectarian violence. This week, militants staged an offensive against Christian villages in northern Iraq. According to the United Nations, an estimated one million Iraqis have been forced from their homes in the past year. More than a thousand people have been killed this month.
