Magazine Says FBI, NSA Spied on Prominent American Muslims

muslim-emails-sm-HEAD2An article in the online magazine The Intercept says that the FBI and NSA spied on the email communications of five prominent American Muslims, including the head of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, or CAIR. Muslim groups, including the Muslim Public Affairs Council expressed outrage over the alleged spying and called on President Obama for an explanation. The article does not say why the Muslims were monitored.
