This Saturday (March 21) marks the New Year for several faith groups, including Hindus, Zoroastrians, and Bahai’s. The Baha’i faith began in Persia, now Iran, in the 19th century. There are up to five million Bahai’s now around the world, preaching the unity of all people. Bahai’s prepare spiritually for their new year with a 19-day fast.

We visited a school administrator in Washington, DC, Abdul Karim Ewing-Boyd, as he and his family prepared to break the fast.
