Utah Law Reinstates Firing Squads

This week Utah became the only state in the U.S. to allow death row inmates to be executed by firing squad. Governor Gary Herbert signed a law approving the method as an option if lethal injection drugs are unavailable. Critics have called the law inhumane, but Herbert and others say a backup plan is needed because of the current shortage of those drugs.
