Volunteers from Faith-based Organizations Help in Disaster Recovery in Southwestern States

In Texas and Oklahoma, people of faith were among those delivering aid and shelter to flooding victims after weeks of record-setting rainfall in parts of those states. More than 30 deaths have been reported, and last week the destruction prompted President Obama to sign a disaster declaration for Texas. While waters have begun to recede, relief groups, including Texas Baptist Disaster Recovery, are predicting a slow return to normal.
