The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Mormons, has announced that it will stay in the Boy Scouts, just a month after suggesting it could break away. The church had raised concerns when the Scouts lifted a ban on openly gay troop leaders, even though religious groups aren’t required to choose gay leaders. About 20 percent of all Boy Scouts are Mormons.
