There’s been an outpouring of good wishes for former President Jimmy Carter after he announced that he has brain cancer. People spoke of his courage and his grace. Last Sunday (August 23), Carter taught his Sunday school class, as usual. Earlier, he had said he was “surprisingly at ease”:
Former President Jimmy Carter: “I have had a wonderful life. I’ve had thousands of friends. I have had an exciting, adventurous and gratifying existence…It’s in the hands of God, whom I worship. I’ll be prepared for anything that comes.”
Jimmy Carter is 90 years old.
