Religious Relief Groups Respond to Pakistan-Afghanistan Earthquake Disaster

Faith-based groups are among those mobilizing to help victims of this week’s devastating earthquake along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. Hundreds of people were killed and thousands of homes were destroyed. The group Islamic Relief is sending teams to assess the needs, and the Catholic group Caritas is also preparing to distribute emergency. But workers are having difficulty accessing many remote areas, and many victims say they have not yet received any help.
