Nostra Aetate at 50: Pope Francis Calls for Greater Interfaith Collaboration

This week (October 28) Pope Francis marked the 50th anniversary of the Vatican document Nostra Aetate. Nostra Aetate revolutionized the church’s relations with other religions, especially Judaism. It is considered one of the most important documents to come out of the Second Vatican Council. The pope called for greater interfaith collaboration in the face of religious extremism. People of several faiths were part of the audience.
