The international medical group Doctors Without Borders delivered a petition to the White House calling for an independent investigation of the deadly US airstrikes on its trauma hospital in Afghanistan. According to the group, the airstrikes in October killed at least 30 medical staff and patients. The US military has taken responsibility for the airstrikes, calling them a mistake. But Doctors Without Borders says many questions remain unanswered, including whether this was a war crime.
