Muslim Summit Ends in Istanbul

04-Turkey-600Muslim leaders gathered in Turkey for a five-day summit that tackled some of the Islamic world’s most pressing issues. More than 30 heads of state attended the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) conference, where participants discussed a 10-year plan of action. They debated how best to combat extremism within Muslim nations and counter Islamophobia in the rest of the world. They also called for a new peace process to end the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
