States Sue Obama Administration over Transgender Bathroom Policy

03-600Officials from 11 states have sued the Obama administration over its requirement that public schools across the country provide transgender students with equal access to educational programs and activities. The directive made clear that schools must also allow transgender students to use bathrooms consistent with their gender identity. The lawsuit was filed in federal district court in Wichita Falls, Texas and includes other states, among them Alabama, Georgia, and Louisiana.
