State Department: Religion Is Part of Foreign Policy

03-600The US State Department this week hosted a conference on religion and diplomacy. Clergy, faith-based activists, and diplomats attended. Critics have long charged that the US has not done a good job in acknowledging the role of religion in foreign policy. But many say that has now changed, thanks to the work of a new State Department office.
