President Obama Continues to “Reinvigorate” the Pardon Process

05-600President Obama has shortened the sentences of another 72 federal inmates. All told, Obama has granted 944 people clemency. That’s more than were granted than the previous 11 presidents combined. Almost all of the inmates had been convicted of drug-related offenses and are considered nonviolent offenders. Many will not see their sentences end immediately, but in 2017 or 2018.
