In Nevada, for example, voters approved a measure that will require background checks on nearly all gun sales and transfers. Arizona, Colorado, and Maine voted for phasing in $12 minimum hourly wages by 2020. Voters in Washington State raised the minimum wage to $13.50 an hour by 2020. Meanwhile, Nebraska voted to reinstate the death penalty, and Colorado made it legal for physicians to assist a terminally ill person in dying.
