WASHINGTON, DC — On Friday, Aug. 21, the Senior Journalists Seminar was hosted by Masjid Muhammad and Imam Talib Shareef for lunch and the weekly Juma’h prayer service. Often called “The Nation’s Mosque,” Masjid Muhammad dates back to the 1930s and is Washington, D.C.’s oldest Muslim community. This predominantly African-American congregation has a national reputation for promoting peace, justice and interfaith dialogue.
